GOVERNOR TAN LEADS OPENING OF POS CASH-OUT FACILITY INITIATIVE OF SULU PROVINCIAL EMPLOYEES MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE

January 9, 2019, Provincial Capitol Grounds – Sulu Governor Abdusakur A. Tan II led the opening of a POS ( Point of Sale) Cash Out Facility. An initiative of the Sulu Provincial Employees Multi PURPOSE Cooperative  (SPEMC) in Partnership with the Land Bank of the Philippines, the facility would allow access to Cash withdrawal/ Balance Inquiry ATM Banking services to all Bank ATM CARD HOLDERS (bancnet and other networks).

According to SPEMC Chairman Nida Dammang, the facility will have a withdrawal limit of 10K per transaction and 30k withdrawal  limit daily, the same as any regular ATM Machine. A Service fee of 20 pesos per transaction Will be charged for the Service. All BANK ATM CARDS ARE ACCEPTED. 

Provincial Cooperative Officer Omar Sangkula, said that it took almost 6 months to get the approval of Land Bank to allow SPEMC access and operate POS Facility/. 

Land Bank Jolo Branch Manager Felix Friales for his part, reiterated Land bank’s commitments and readiness to SUPPORT and assists Cooperative organizations in the Province. 

Governor Tan stated That the SPEMC initiative is a step moving forward. 

“This a step moving in the  right direction, it benefits SPEMC as a resource mobilization project by rendering  Service to the public in terms of access to automated banking service.”

The facility is a big Help, considering its huge demand due to the imited ATM FACILITY in Sulu.
